2nd and 4th Thursday, Every Month, 7:00 pm
Towpath Trash Pick Up (Meet at the Pump House on the Towpath near the Flatrock Dam) Residents of Shawmont and Friends of the Manayunk Canal Help maintain the stretch of the Towpath near the Flat Rock Dam where there are no garbage cans. During the summer season, the area near the Flatrock Dam is very popular with fisherman, hikers and birdwatchers. Help us keep the area clean and green for all of its visitors! 2nd Annual Trunks for the 'Yunk Tree Planting Party (Fountain Street and the Towpath) Friends of the Manayunk Canal and The Schuylkill Project  Help us beautify a stretch of the Towpath at Fountain Street and the Canal by taking part in our 2nd annual native tree planting party- Trunks for the ‘Yunk. Refreshments and snacks provided as a thank you to our volunteers as well as a free exclusive new Schuylkill River t-shirt. Additionally, the Manayunk Brewery has invited all our volunteers to celebrate afterward at the Brewery with free food and drink specials!! Don't miss this chance to help out & hang out! |
